Frequently Asked Questions
What are BenzePrO® Foaming Cloths?
BenzePrO® Foaming Cloths are a prescription topical acne treatment used to treat mild to moderate acne. The active ingredient in Benzepro® Foaming Cloths is benzoyl peroxide, an antibacterial agent, at a 6% concentration.
How do BenzePrO® Foaming Cloths work?
Each cloth is formulated with micronized benzoyl peroxide which can get deep into the follicle, lessening residue and side effects on the skin.
How do I use BenzePrO® Foaming Cloths?
Wash affected areas once or twice daily, or as directed by your physician. A single water activated foaming cloth is large enough to use for face, back and trunk.
Steps to apply:
• Wet face with water
• Wet cloth with a little water and work into a full lather
• Cleanse face with cloth for 10-20 seconds avoiding eyes
• Rinse thoroughly and pat dry
• Throw away cloth. Do not flush
If you are going outside, apply sunscreen after using this product. If irritation or sensitivity develops, stop use of both products and ask a doctor for help.
Avoid contact with hair, fabrics or carpeting as benzoyl peroxide will cause bleaching or discoloration.
Can I use BenzePrO® Foaming Cloths if I am pregnant or nursing?
It is not known whether benzoyl peroxide can cause fetal harm when administered to a pregnant woman or can affect reproduction capacity. Benzoyl peroxide should be used by a pregnant or nursing woman only if clearly needed and extreme caution should be exercised. Please consult with your prescriber.
